 ED Violence is reaching epic proportions.  Special risk patients seem like they have set up occupancy in the ED hallways.  Staff are getting injured. OSHA has now issued a new directive telling it's Field Inspectors how to investigate acts of violence in healthcare facilities.


SSR is proud to bring you Steve Wilder BA, CHSP, STS as guest speaker.  Steve is a nationally recognized expert on healthcare security and workplace violence, and will examine steps that can be taken to minimize the risk of violence in the ED, and proactive steps that hospitals can be taking to reduce the risk and protect their staff.

Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this program, the participant shall:
  • Identify the four components of an ED security management program
  • Discuss pro's and con's of using police officers in the ED
  • Explain the use of trained response teams for managing aggression in the ED
  • Recognize standard security related training every ED employee should receive
