Duration: 3 days / 24 hours

This course is designed for field technicians and any individual involved in erecting or maintaining towers. It has been reviewed by OSHA and exceeds the minimum requirements set by OSHA for the tower erection industry. The course is taught by vertical rescue specialists and experts in the tower erection industry.

This course combines classroom and practical hand-on training to ensure workers have the competencies they need for establishing safe work-at-height environments,practices and procedures in the tower industry.  Upon successful completion students will have the skills necessary for working at heights and effecting successful rescues from all points on a tower and will earn the documentation and certification to satisfy regulatory requirements.


• Proper climbing techniques
• Rescue training
• Fall Restraint Systems
• Fall Arrest Systems
• Hardware and Harness’s
• Knots and hitches
• Anchors, forces on anchors, anchor points & multiple anchors
• Use & Purpose of Directional’s
• Rope and/or webbing employed in anchor systems
• Load sharing/self equalizing anchors
• Accident Reporting and Investigation process
• Incident Command Structure for handling and emergency

Certifications/Completion Cards Received After Successful Completion:
Tower Rescue and Competent Climber wallet-sized certification card 

Required Equipment:
Work boots (steel-toed preferred), cotton pants and cotton long sleeve shirts. Bring PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
